We are all in a twitter here in South Hero getting ready for the Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival….THIS WEEKEND! Where did the time go? Jim has been turning yarn bowls all week and I have been spinning some new “designer” yarns. We are as ready as we can be.
This year Jim is bringing his small lathe and will turn drop spindles for his adoring fans! He will be out in front of Dodge Hall under cover – let’s all cross our fingers for the weather!
So, are you interested? The Vt Sheep and wool Festival is at the Tunbridge World’s Fair Grounds.

Hi Ellen and Jim,
It was nice meeting you both on Saturday! We enjoyed the VT S&W this year and wanted to touch base about the future of a yarn bowl. I would love to have a bowl and especially like the maple wood and apple wood hues. Birdseye maple would top the list but of course I realise that is not too common. Please keep me in mind.
Regards,
Diane
I would love to purchase several of your gorgeous yarn bowls. I live in New Mexico and came across them on line and wondered if you did email orders.
Thank you
Sue
I saw one of your yarn bowls on a web site. Do you make them to sell? I would very much be interested. Do you have another website that shows and sells them?
Check out our Etsy shop for yarn bowls at: http://www.etsy.com/shop/yellowdogfarmvt

I would love to have one of your lovely large yarn bowls. I live in Rocky Mount, N.C., and was at Nags Head , North Carolina and saw “yarn bowls” which I had never seen before! So I am home now searching the internet and yours appears to be somwhat larger than others I have seen. May I please know the cost and what they are made with.
Sincerely,
Nancy Reid
Ours are turned in various woods – they range in price usually from $75.00 – $85.00.
