We have had a Orioles all summer long. Mamas, and Papas and wee little ones, too! They have lapped up at least 5 jars of grape jelly! If it were not for the bees taking over I would still be feeding them!

Winter is Coming!
The days are shorter and the nights are longer. Cold, wet, and stormy. Welcome to Vermont. Our chickens have begun laying eggs and finally I can no longer pick raspberries – my freezer is full!
Bluebird Kind of day!
It is beautiful today in South Hero, Vermont. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and the sky is blue, blue, blue. And yes, we have bluebirds!
Bluebirds bring good luck, they radiate happiness. Now for an appearance of a plucky Baltimore Oriole, life would be perfect.

That’s right I am knitting. More. oh my!
2020 kind of got to me. I needed lots of mindless easy patterns to knit. LOTS. That said I have made use of old lace stiches to create some lovely scarves and button shrugs. I figure I have increased the insulation value for my whole house!
