Finger Lakes…Here We Come!

The truck is packed with every possible bit of fiber and wood.  Snacks for the ride and cell phones charged.  I think we are ready to head to Hemlock, NY for the Finger Lakes Fiber festival.  This is a great show nestled in the countryside of New York state!  Love being there.  I am actually looking forward to sitting and spinning all day on Saturday and Sunday!

Jim has been turning wood non-stop for the last two weeks.  There are several beautiful yarn bowls packed and ready to share!

Next weekend…Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival in Tunbridge, VT – another great show!

  1. Hi Ellen,
I have started raising Angoras starting from Jane Woodhouse’s flock last December. At this point it is for home use and I am just at the beginning. I use Mary Lake for shearing and she mentioned that you might have some coat or covers that you used to use for the goats and might not be using any longer. It might be a great addition to my supplies and I am wondering if you have any spare coats to sell in the “New to You” part of the Festival? I would be interested in 3. Two smallish goats, the kid is nearly as big as her half sister. Around 45 lbs each. The mother/grandmother is larger. Probably 75 lbs. I have some sheep suits that I purchased online and they are way too huge for either my lambs or goats.

I look forward to attending my first festival and am excited to meet you and other Angora breeders. Bobbi Rood

  2. Hello!

Any more yarns bowls available now or in the near future?

Thank you so much for your time.

    Teresa 🙂
